A summer update on Juno's sync foundation
A major sync overhaul made Juno faster, more reliable, and better prepared for mobile.

We used the quieter summer months to work on important under-the-hood changes to Juno.
Juno is an offline-first app. It should not let you down because your connection drops, a device is offline, or your day moves between places. The sync engine works to keep everything up to date without making you think about it.
Syncing state between client and server is a thorny problem, but it is core to making Juno a planner you can trust.
This update included:
- faster sync;
- fewer random streams of tasks appearing during sync;
- prevention for several classes of sync errors;
- clearer connection status reporting.
We also adjusted the morning ritual. When Juno shows tasks left undone yesterday, it now focuses on tasks you actually intended to do. If you moved a task to another day or to the backlog, Juno recognizes that and keeps the ritual cleaner.
This release was also part of the path toward mobile. Reliable sync is the foundation that makes a real mobile planner possible.
