Getting Started

Morning ritual

Use the morning ritual to choose what matters today and start with intent.

What it is

The morning ritual is the guided start-of-day flow you trigger from the Plan button in the toolbar. It helps you review unfinished work, choose priorities, and check your plan against the time available.

Build your daily plan

  1. Reflection — review completed and unfinished work from the previous day when the reflection step is shown.
  2. Planning — pull tasks into today, set time estimates if missing, add new ones.
  3. Prioritization — choose what needs today and move other tasks to another day or the backlog.
  4. Scheduling — order your tasks and check how they fit around your calendar.
  5. Review — check your plan, then choose Start your day. The steps shown can depend on how you entered the ritual.

When to run it

  • Once, at the start of your work block.
  • Re-run it after major schedule changes (a meeting got cancelled, a deadline moved).

Tips

  • Treat it as a decision moment, not a backlog grooming session. The point is to commit, not to be exhaustive.
  • If a step doesn't apply, skip it. The ritual is a frame, not a checklist.
  • Pair it with calendar-based planning to anchor tasks against your real day.

Customize it

In Settings -> Rituals, covered in Ritual settings, you can:

  • Set the start and end of your workday.
  • Choose whether morning planning and end-of-day reflection start automatically.
